(TAMPA, Fla.) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to a one-year contract with cornerback Ronde Barber Wednesday, for what will be his 16th year in the NFL. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Barber, who will turn 37 on April 7th, was selected out of Virginia by the Bucs in the third round of the 1997 NFL draft.
During his 15-year playing career, the three-time All-Pro has recorded 43 interceptions and 27 sacks in 225 games.
In 2003, Barber helped lead the Buccaneers to a 48-21 victory over the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl 37.
