Chaz Bono Dating Show in the Works

ABC/ RICK ROWELL(NEW YORK) — The Bachelor, meet Chaz Bono: Cher’s son could soon be starring in a dating show of his very own.
The executive producers of Becoming Chaz, last year’s OWN documentary about Bono’s transition from a woman to man, told ABC News that they’re in talks with the former Dancing with the Stars contestant to develop a dating show. Bono split from fiancée Jennifer Elia last December.
“We’re devastated that they’re no longer together, but it’s probably a good thing for both of them,” producer Fenton Bailey said at Saturday night’s GLAAD Media Awards in New York.
“We are talking to them about doing new projects, mainly Chaz. Maybe a dating show,” added Bailey’s production partner, Randy Barbato. Though Bono may be handing out roses to a new batch of hopefuls, Barbato said he and Elia are still on good terms.
“It was a very amicable split,” he said. “They’re good friends and they’re both moving on with their lives. They have lots of mutual friends. They’re sort of growing into being single.”
