Chubbuck Police Investigate Shooting

(CHUBBUCK) – Chubbuck Police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that occurred within the city limits. Authorities say a man fired two shots from a .40 caliber handgun at two dogs running toward him and his dog in an aggressive manner. KPVI has confirmed that the man carried a concealed weapons permit and contacted police immediately after the shooting. One dog was wounded and treated for injuries, and both dogs have been released to their owner. Charges are pending.
