“Dancing with the Stars”: Maria Menounos Reportedly Breaks a Rib

ABC/Lou Rocco(LOS ANGELES) — It seems every season of Dancing with the Stars features at least one contestant who suffers an injury during practice that becomes a dramatic storyline for the entire season. This time around, it’s Extra host Maria Menounos who’s playing hurt, reports the New York Post.
The report says Menounos busted a rib during a “hard-core” rehearsal with partner Derek Hough, but she’s been soldiering on despite “excruciating pain” from the break. The source says the injury happened during cha-cha-cha practice, and Menounos is camouflaging a rib brace underneath her costumes.
“She refuses to give up,” the source says.
