(PHILADELPHIA) — The Houston Texans traded linebacker DeMeco Ryans to the Philadelphia Eagles for the Eagles’ fourth round draft pick in this years draft. The teams also swapped third round picks in the upcoming draft.
The 27-year-old linebacker is a two-time Pro Bowler, but hasn’t been the same since tearing his Achilles in 2010.
Ryans is the second big name Texan to join a new team this off-season. Free agent linebacker Mario Williams signed a six-year deal with the Buffalo Bills.
Ryans is due $5.9 million this year.
