Idaho Teacher Background Fee Hikes

(BOISE) – Those looking for work in Idaho’s public schools can expect to pay more when they submit to a background check. The House Education Committee approved a measure Thursday raising fingerprinting fees from $40 to $55. State officials blame a price hike from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The increase brought harsh criticism from Democrats, who claim it will make it tougher for teachers and others looking for work.
