Indian Journalist Arrested for Car Bombing
(NEW DELHI) -- Indian police arrested a journalist on Tuesday in connection with a Feb. 13 car bombing which seriously injured an Israeli diplomat’s wife in New Delhi.
Syed Mohammed Kazmi was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday to face charges. Officials say Kazmi may have been in communication with a suspect who rode a motorcycle alongside the Israeli diplomat’s car and placed a bomb with a magnet on the vehicle, reports Time.
Israel has blamed Iran for a bomb that was discovered on an Israeli diplomat’s car in Georgia on the same day as the New Delhi attack.
It is unclear what organization Kazmi works for and what evidence the Indian police have on the journalist.
