The Wildcats were up by 20 at halftime and will be headed to New Orleans to take on Louisville next weekend.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led the way for Kentucky with 19 points.

“I’m not satisfied yet,” Kidd-Gilchrist said.

Bayor did fight back with 48 points in the second half but could not overcome the big deficit.

“Really proud of these guys,” said Kentucky head coach John Calipari.  “I’m just happy we’re still playing.”

For the Bears, they’ll look towards next year for another run in March.

“This team is better than I thought,” Baylor coach Scott Drew said. “This is the best team we faced all year … probably in a couple of years.”
