(LOS ANGELES) — So much for Kobe Bryant not playing. He scored a game high 31 points, leading the Lakers to a 104-85 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
There were questions if his recent concussion and broken nose would keep the Lakers guard from playing. Instead, Kobe wore a protective face mask and played like there was nothing wrong.
“Kobe is Kobe,” Lakers coach Mike Brown said. “I don’t think he ever wants to sit out. If he had two broken legs [he would say,] ‘Tape this one and staple this one and let’s go.'”
Kobe will get a chance to prove pain is not a problem for him again Friday night, when the Lakers take on the Sacramento Kings.
