Kris Dielman Retires After Nine NFL Seasons
Published at(SAN DIEGO) — San Diego Chargers left guard Kris Dielman announced his retirement on Thursday in the team Meeting Room. The room was packed with family, teammates, coaches, and front-office employees.
Dielman decided to retire because of a serious concussion he suffered over four months ago, against the New York Jets.
“I had nine great years,” a very emotional Dielman said. “It just sucks that it has to end this way, but it is. I played a rough style of football and this one got me. I got to move on.”
The 31-year old Dielman, started 97 games throughout his nine year career with the Chargers.
