(POCATELLO) – The Idaho Legislature has passed a $1.9 Billion Medicaid budget for the 2013 fiscal year. The budget will allocate about $100 million more than the current budget, and will also restore programs including preventative dental care for kids, pregnant women, and the disabled. The new budget also brings back help for people with mental and developmental problems. About 70 percent of the Medicaid budget comes from federal funds. The budget now goes to Gov. Otter’s desk for approval.
