Lindsay Lohan’s Formal Probation Over; Thanks Judge for ‘Opening Doors’

Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Lindsay Lohan walked out of the courtroom Thursday a happy woman.
After confirming the actress completed all of the required therapy sessions and community service, Judge Stephanie Sautner ended Lohan’s formal probation for her Beverly Hills DUI case from 2007. The judge also placed Lohan on informal probation, meaning she won’t have to return to court, in her 2011 shoplifting conviction until May 2014.
“You need to live your life in a more mature way. Stop clubbing and focus on your work,” Judge Sautner advised the 25-year-old actress before telling her, “Goodbye and good luck.”
Lohan also thanked the court, saying, “I just want to say thank you for being fair. It’s really opened a lot of doors for me so I really appreciate it.”
At the end of her final probation hearing, a smiling Lohan hugged her longtime attorney, Shawn Holley.
Lohan is only required to “obey all laws” for the next two and a half years to remain in good probationary standing.
