(KANSAS CITY, MO) — The Missouri Tigers are leaving the Big 12 on a high note. (5) Missouri (30-4) toppled (12) Baylor (27-7), 90-75, to win the Big 12 conference tournament. It was the second time Missouri won this tournament in the last four years.
Missouri will be joining the Southeastern Conference next season.
The Tigers were paced by senior guard Kim English. English scored a game high 19 points and shot five for eight from three-point land.
“I can’t imagine their being a better leader in the country than Kim English,” Missouri coach Frank Haith said. “I know during my short time as a head coach, I haven’t coached a guy with the determination he has. How he’s handled himself this year has been unbelievable.”
Missouri heads into the the NCAA Tournament on a five game win streak.
