Prince Harry ‘Had a Gas’ Representing Queen on Tour
(LONDON) -- Britain’s Prince Harry says he “had a gas” on his first solo multi-nation tour for Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, and actually became “choked up” seeing the way the people celebrated his grandmother’s 60 years on the throne.
Harry’s 10-day trip included stops in Jamaica, the Bahamas, Belize and Brazil.
Speaking in Brazil, the 27-year-old prince said, “I had a gas on behalf of my grandmother."
Harry told reporters, “I personally had no idea how much of an influence the Queen has on all these countries, which is, to me, very humbling...I was actually quite, I was quite choked up at times, seeing the way that they celebrated her 60 years.”
The Telegraph reports Prince Harry will now return to his military career, and is expected to be deployed to Afghanistan within the year.
