Instead, Wayne is staying with the Colts despite the team going into full rebuiliding mode.

According to Pro Football Talk, Wayne’s deal is three-years for $17.5 million. He will reportedly receive at least $7.5 million in guaranteed money.

The 33-year old has been in the NFL for 11 seasons, all with the Colts. The team selected Wayne 30th overall in the 2001 NFL Draft. Wayne had a run of seven straight seasons of over 1,000 receiveing yards that ended this season after he caught 75 passes for 960 yards.

It’s a little surprising that the Colts brought Wayne back. They let go of respected veterans like Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Gary Brackett, Melvin Bullitt, and Joseph Addai. The team does hold the number one overall pick in the upcoming draft and are expected to select former Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.
