One of those aides has been identified by ABC News’ San Diego affiliate KGTV as Garrett Jackson, Romney’s body man. Jackson, who shadows Romney nearly every waking hour of the day, has access to the candidate’s schedule and whereabouts.

The campaign declined to comment on whether Jackson was one of the individuals who was robbed, but did say that they were not concerned about the information on the devices being leaked and had taken  steps to ensure no information was obtainable.

The burglary, which was first reported by KGTV, occurred on Friday evening, the same day that Romney and his aides arrived in California for the weekend. Romney spent a few days off at his home in La Jolla, Calif., just a few miles from the downtown San Diego where the crime is believed to have taken place.
