Salt Lake Pug’s Violent Killing Sparks Outrage

(SALT LAKE CITY) – The brutal death of a small dog in Salt Lake City is leaving an owner mourning and investigators scratching their heads.  Bill Dimmick says his 10-year-old pug name “Diesel” was beaten to death in his yard Monday morning with a bat or some kind of metal pipe.  The dog was so badly injured that its teeth were knocked out.  Dimmick has no idea why anyone would hurt his dog, who he described as a gentle companion.  No suspects have been identified.
