(NEW YORK) — Four-time NFL MVP and free agent quarterback Peyton Manning will decide on a team for the next chapter of his career within a week, according to league sources.
Manning who has been working out in Miami throughout still would not say which teams have contacted him, but according to sources, 12 out of the 32 NFL teams have contacted his representatives.
“I haven’t thought about teams, I don’t know who is interested, I really don’t,” said Manning on Wednesday night. “This is all new to me, but look the Miami Dolphins have a great organization, a great history there, they have new people in place.”
League sources also noted that the 36-year old quarterback prefers to stay in the AFC, but is open to playing in the NFC.
The Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins have all reached out to Manning’s representatives, according to ESPN.
