Syracuse has now won 11 in row while the Huskies’ 13-game postseason winning streak is over.

“Connecticut is very, very good,” Syracuse head coach Jim Boehim said in his post-game news conference. “When they had the lead, 8 or 9 points, they were in great position. I thought our guys just dug down on defense, played a little bit harder and got going on offense. It was a great comeback.”

Syracuse forward James Southerland took over down the stretch, scoring all 10 of his points in the final eight minutes of the game.

The Orange will move on to the semifinals Friday night, where they will square off against Cincinnati.
