Tanning Bed Ban Lowered to Age 15
Published at(BOISE) – A proposal to ban Idaho minors from using tanning beds has been amended. The House Health and Welfare Committee approved a measure Tuesday that would limit the ban to ages 15 and younger. Those between the ages of 16 and 18 would have to obtain parental consent. Proponents argue that the ban would lower the overall risk of skin cancer among Idaho’s young people. Opponents maintain that the bill goes too far and infringes on personal liberties.
