(HOUSTON) — The Houston Texans and All-Pro running back Arian Foster have agreed to a five-year deal to the tune of $43.5 million. The deal includes $20.75 million in guaranteed money.
Foster, 25, rushed for 1,224 yards and 10 touchdowns during the 2011 season and helped the Texans win their first-ever playoff game. In 2010, he led the league in rushing with 1,615 yards.
The Texans could have placed their franchise tag on Foster if the two sides had not been able to reach a long-term deal.
