Tony Stewart Wins Rain Shortened Race in Fontana

Getty Tony Stewart?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1332754272764Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images for NASCAR(FONTANA, Calif.) — Due to the rain, the race only lasted 129 laps but when it was over driver Tony Stewart took the checkered flag for his second Sprint Cup victory of the season.

Stewart has now won seven out of his last 15 races and is in fourth place, 18 points behind leader Greg Biffle, in the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings.

Kyle Busch came in second followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards.

The win was Stewart’s 46th of his career and second at Fontana.
