(SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) – Last week we  told you about a bill in Wyoming that would require drug tests for welfare recipients. Now a similar bill has passed in the Utah House of Representatives. Utah’s measure would require welfare recipients to enroll in a drug treatment program if they fail their drug test in order to avoid losing welfare benefits. Not all recipients will require drug tests. A written test will flag recipients for a urine test if their answers correspond with addicting behavior.
