Last week, the 30 Rock star complained on Twitter that a Today show crew was camped outside his New York City apartment building for a report regarding the arrest of his alleged stalker.  He then wrote he is “leaving NBC just in time.”

Appearing Monday at a Washington, D.C., event to promote funding for the arts, Baldwin clarified that he will remain with 30 Rock through the show’s upcoming seventh season, but added that the show is scheduled to end next year.

In a dig at NBC, Baldwin said he doesn’t like the Today show, and implied that he prefers ABC’s Good Morning America and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.  Baldwin also noted that his next project will be a Broadway play.

The actor is scheduled to appear on Capitol Hill Tuesday to encourage Congress to increase funding for the arts.
