(CLEVELAND) — The Angels have called up 20-year-old outfield phenom Mike Trout and released veteran Bobby Abreu.
Trout was the 25th pick of the Angels in 2009. He has been tearing up the minors this year hitting .403 with 21 runs scored, 13 RBIs and six stolen bases.
The Angels have had offensive struggles in their outfield and manager Mike Scioscia says Trout will play.
