This is all a result of a motorcycle accident Petrino was in over the weekend. The issue wasn’t the accident, but who he was with at the time. Petrino failed to disclose he had been riding with a female employee of the football program that was hired just last week. She’s also half of Petrino’s age. Petrino said he hid this information because he wanted to keep the “inappropriate relationship from being public.”

“I will fully cooperate with the university throughout this process and the hope is to repair my relationships with my family, my athletics director, the Razorback Nation, and remain the coach of the Razorbacks,” Petrino said in a statement issued by the university.

The female with Petrino has been identified as former Arkansas volleyball player Jessica Dorrell, who is 25 years old. She was hired by Petrino as the student-athlete development coordinator.

Based on a clause in Petrino’s contract, the school has the right fire Petrino if they wish.
