Betty White Joins Twitter

ABC/Ida Mae Astute(NEW YORK) — Betty White has joined the Twittersphere! Using the handle @BettyMWhite, the Hot in Cleveland actress already has over 140,000 followers on the social network.
“Hello Twitter! And they said it would never happen. Oh wait, that was me,” the 90-year-old actress sent in her inaugural tweet. That was just before she used the platform to flirt with fellow television personalities.
White sent a tweet to Ryan Seacrest, whose show American Idol is set to compete with White’s new show, NBC’s Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, a new hidden-camera show where senior citizens prank younger people.
“Hey @RyanSeacrest — my new show airs tomorrow and I hear we’re in the same time slot,” White tweeted. “I’ve always dreamed of sharing a night with you…”
