Wagner and his pro partner, Anna Trebunskaya, had the lowest combination of judges’ scores and viewers’ votes. When asked if he was surprised by the outcome, the General Hospital and Melrose Place actor simply replied, “I had a great time, and it was fun to kind of test myself.”

On Monday’s performance show, Wagner danced a samba inspired by his 23-year-old daughter, whom he met for the first time last year. All three judges gave him a positive review for the dance, but he still found himself in a five-way tie at the bottom of the leader board.

For the second consecutive week, Gavin DeGraw faced elimination in the results show’s final moments but still managed to advance.

The musical guests on the results show were Seal, who covered the classic song “Lean on Me,” and Rascal Flatts, who performed their new song “Changed” for the first time on network TV.

Host Tom Bergeron announced a new wrinkle to the elimination format that will be implemented in two weeks. For three consecutive weeks, the bottom two on the results show will dance simultaneously, with the judges deciding who will go home.

Dancing with the Stars
returns next Monday night on ABC with the 10 remaining celebrities set to dance to rock music. KISS will make an appearance.
