That shot gave Oklahoma City a 1-0 series lead in what is a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals.

“It looked bad when it left my hand,” said Durant of his game winning shot.  “I was just trying to be aggressive the whole fourth quarter and will us to victory.”

Russell Westbrook led the Thunder in scoring with 28 points.

Dirk Nowitzki did all that he could with 25 points for Dallas but that still was not enough.

“I thought we had our chances, and we’ve got to create our own breaks. It felt like all season long, for some reason, the other teams were making one more play, one more bounce,” Nowitzki said. “We’ve got to come up and grab them.”
