ESPN: UConn Center Andre Drummond Going Pro

Elsa/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Good big men are hard to come by in today's NBA, but there could be a dominant center coming to the League this summer. According to ESPN.com's Andy Katz, Connecticut Andrew Drummond will declare for the 2012 NBA Draft.

In doing so, Drummond will become the program's first "one-and-done" player. The school is expected to make an official announcement in the near future. According to the Connecticut Post, the school's postseason ban in 2013 was one of the factors that went into Drummond's decision.

The 6'10" Drummond is widely expected to be a top-five pick at worst in the NBA Draft, and could go as high as number two. In his only collegiate season, Drummond averaged 10.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game.

Drummond is also the third underclassman to leave the team in some capacity. Guard Jeremy Lamb has also declared for the upcoming draft, while center Alex Oriakhi is transferring schools.
