(PHILADELPHIA) — Flyers center Claude Giroux scored his sixth goal of the post-season Sunday as Philadelphia eliminated the Pittsburgh Penguins from the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 5-1 victory in Game 6 of their first-round series.
Philadelphia set the tone early thanks to Giroux’s goal, which came just 32 seconds into the game. The Flyers scored three unanswered goals before the Penguins were able to get on the board midway through the second period on a score by Evgeni Malkin.
Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 29 of 30 goals he faced.
