The Flyers took their first lead of the game after Jaromir Jagr scored to make it 6-5 in the third period and wouldn’t let up. Claude Giroux had a hat trick and three assists to set a franchise record for points in a playoff game.  Rookie Sean Couturier also contributed a hat trick of his own in the 8-5 win over the Penguins.

The Flyers trailed three different times in the game.

“I don’t know how many times we’ll be able to do comebacks like that,” Giroux said. “We’ve got to have a better start.”

But Jagr isn’t surprised by the scoring outburst late.

“This team can always score goals,” said Jagr. “We’ve got a lot of guys who can score goals.”

Sidney Crosby scored a goal in the loss for the Penguins.

“We need to limit our mistakes, that’s really what it comes down to,” Crosby said. “The mistakes we’ve made have ended up in our net.”
