(SEATTLE) — It’s not easy being perfect, but that is exactly what Chicago White Sox pitcher Philip Humber was Saturday. Humber pitched the 21st perfect game in MLB history, the third in White Sox history, as the White Sox beat the Mariners 4-0.
The 29-year-old struck out nine, including the final batter of the game. The win was Humber’s first of the season, and he lowered his ERA to 0.63.
Mark Buehrle pitched the last perfect game for the Sox on July 21, 2009 against Tampa Bay.
