Idaho Could Get Break From Big Wildfires

(IDAHO FALLS) – Idaho could be in the forecast for a fairly mild fire season. Federal officials say the state’s mountain ranges have normal snow-pack, and the early spring has brought plenty of rain and snow regionally. Much of the Intermountain West is gearing up for an active and dangerous fire season, just one year after Arizona and New Mexico experienced their worst wildfires on record. Colorado had a deadly fire last month, while other Western states reported hundreds of smaller fires.
