Jobless Claims Take Another Slight Drop, Now Stand at 388K
Published at | Updated at(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims have fallen for the second straight week, but they continue to hover near 400,000, the latest weekly jobs report shows.
The Labor Department said on Thursday that for the week ending April 21, the number of people filing for benefits decreased by 1,000 to 388,000. The previous week claims stood at 389,000.
The four-week average went up however, climbing by 6,250 to end at 381,750.
