Kentucky’s Starting Five Leaving For The NBA Draft
(LEXINGTON, Ky.) -- After winning the national championship this season, Kentucky’s starting five will forgo their remaining eligibility and enter this June’s NBA draft.
Sophomores Doron Lamb and Terrence Jones and freshmen Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marquis Teague announced their decision during a news conference Tuesday night.
“These players are connected to our fans, just like past players,” Kentucky head coach John Calipari said. “They’re connected to this university and they’ll comeback.”
Kentucky is also saying goodbye to seniors Darius Miller and Eloy Vargas.
