Lane Garrison Charged with Misdemeanor Battery

David Livingston/Getty Images for Sofitel(LOS ANGELES) — Actor Lane Garrison was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery on Thursday for allegedly slapping his ex-girlfriend in the lobby of her Beverly Hills apartment on Saturday, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
The charge comes after a witness came forward saying they witnessed the altercation between Ashley Mattingly and the former Prison Break star. It also comes after Garrison maintained that surveillance footage of the incident was “misleading” and that the 31-year-old actor was simply trying to get his cellphone back.
Garrison will head to a Beverly Hills court on Friday to be arraigned. He is currently being held without bail because this latest charge violates his parole. The actor is on parole for a 2007 vehicular manslaughter conviction.
If convicted, Garrison faces up to one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
