Lundqvist, Quick, Rinne Named Vezina Finalists
(GREENBURGH, N.Y.) -- Goalies Henrik Lundqvist, Jonathan Quick and Pekka Rinne have been selected as finalists for the Vezina Trophy.
The trophy is given to the goalie who is deemed by the NHL's 30 general managers to have had the best regular season.
Lundqvist led the New York Rangers to an Eastern Conference title while accumulating 39 wins, a 1.97 goal-against-average, and a .930 save percentage -- all career highs.
Quick, who plays for the Los Angeles Kings, led the league in shutouts with 10, and posted 1.95 goals-against-average.
Rinne posted 43 wins, the best in the league, for the Nashville Predators, and led the team to the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
The winner will be announced in June at the NHL Award Show in Las Vegas.
