Man Kicks Out Police Cruiser Window in Drunken Rage

(POCATELLO, ID) — Pocatello police say a man kicked out the rear window of a patrol car during an arrest Sunday night. Thirty-one-year-old Derek Furniss of Idaho Falls was arrested at Portneuf Medical Center after he was reportedly driving while intoxicated and had given alcohol to a minor. Furniss also allegedly attacked one of the officers attempting to arrest him. In addition to alcohol-related charges, Furniss faces two counts of malicious injury to property and battery on a police officer. He will be back in court April 16.
