(NEW YORK) — The minute the New York Jets made the deal for former Broncos quarterback and international sensation Tim Tebow, current Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez became a part of Tebow-mania.
Sanchez fielded questions on his new teammate on Thursday at a paid appearance at Westchester Mall in White Plains, the New York Post reported.
“He’s been as advertised, as good of a guy, if not better, than anybody said,” Sanchez said of Tebow, according to the Post. “So, he’s been a great addition so far. I’m thrilled to work with him.”
Sanchez also told the Post that Tebow was a great competitor and he is who you want by your side during the offseason program.
Sanchez had a 56.7 completion percentage in 2011 and threw for 3,474 yards and 26 touchdowns.
