(DALLAS) — The Dallas Mavericks and Lamar Odom have decided to part ways. Odom, who was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Mavericks before the start of the season, averaged just 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds during his time with Dallas.
“I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship,” Odom said in a statement to ESPN.
ESPN also reported Odom will leave the team without being released, and the Mavericks will list him as inactive for the remainder of the season.
