McCammon Man in Shootout with Police

(MCAMMON,ID)  — A McCammon man was hospitalized after a shootout with police.   The standoff  started Saturday night.  Officers were called  to the 900 block of 3rd street in McCammon, to investigate  gunshots.  After several hours of negotiation, the man came out of his home with a gun and refused to drop the weapon.  Officers took down 51-year-old Dennis Allen Buzzell by opening fire. Buzzell is listed in critical condition. The incident is being independently investigated by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police.
