In fact, they have the worst record in the NBA at 7-43, with the next worst record being 13-40 (New Orleans Hornets). While the team is one of the worst in the NBA, they are owned by perhaps the greatest player in NBA history, Michael Jordan. According to one report though, that could come to an end in the near future.

According to the New York Daily News, Jordan recently told general manager, Rich Cho, to once again start the rebuilding process for the team. He also informed Cho and other team executives that if the team continues to lose while he loses millions each year, he will sell the team over the next “three to four years.” Jordan felt the need to shoot that report down.

“I was disturbed to hear the false report that I intend to sell my majority interest in the Charlotte Bobcats,” Jordan said on the team’s website. “I am 100% committed to building the Bobcats into a contender and have no plans to sell the team.”

Since the Bobcats inaugural season during the 2004-2005 season, they have had just one winning record and one playoff appearance.
