(IDAHO FALLS) – The number of Idahoans working for minimum wage has been on the rise since the onset of the recession. Local News 8 reports that many people that had formerly worked at highly specialized jobs are now out of work and looking for any job, no matter how small the paycheck. The U.S. Bureau of Labor notes that the number of minimum wage workers went up 8 percent from 2007 to 2010.
