(MIAMI) — Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen returned to the bench Tuesday night after serving a five-game suspension for comments he made to Time magazine in which he praised former Cuban President Fidel Castro.
“I don’t think I want to put myself in the same situation again with the community, with the Latino people,” Guillen said before their game against the Cubs. “I’m Latino, that’s the worst feeling ever.”
Guillen held a news conference last week, apologizing for his comments.
