Ravens’ Quarterback Joe Flacco Makes Bold Statement

Jim Rogash/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — In the NFL, there are a handful of championship quarterbacks who are considered the best of the best. You have guys like Aaron Rodgers from the Packers, Tom Brady from the Patriots, Drew Brees from the Saints, Eli Manning from the Giants, and Ben Roethlisberger from the Steelers. If you ask Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco though, he’s better then all of them.
Flacco, who’s never been shy about his place among the NFL’s best, was on WNST 1570 in Baltimore and went one step further when it came to his rank among today’s quarterbacks.
“I assume everyone thinks they’re a top-five quarterback,” Flacco said when asked how he stacks up against the current crop of NFL quarterbacks. “I mean, I think I’m the best. I don’t think I’m top five, I think I’m the best. I don’t think I’d be very successful at my job if I didn’t feel that way. I mean, c’mon? That’s not too tough a question.”
Even though Flacco has enjoyed early playoff success in his career, he has never won a Super Bowl or even an AFC Championship. This past season, Flacco threw for 3,610 yards while also throwing 20 touchdowns, but completed just 57.6% of his passes.
