Santorum Will Not Campaign on Monday to Stay with Daughter Bella in Hospital
Published at(NEW YORK) — Rick Santorum will not campaign on Monday so that he can stay with his 3-year-old daughter who was hospitalized on Friday, The New York Times reports.
Santorum’s campaign manager, Hogan Gidley, made the announcement in a statement issued late on Saturday. On Friday, the campaign announced that Santorum’s 3-year-old daughter Bella, who was born with a genetic disorder called Trisomy 18, was admitted to the hospital. She was also hospitalized with pneumonia in January, and Santorum said her recovery was a “miracle.”
The family has not made public the reason for Bella’s current hospitalization.
