(IDAHO FALLS) – A proposed charter school is seeking support from Idaho Falls School District 91. The American Heritage Charter School will feature a curriculum themed around patriotism. Petitioners want to be part of the district, and if approved, will move into the New Sweden School west of town. Property owner Frank Vandersloot has offered to refurbish the old building and donate it to the school. The school board will discuss the charter school again April 13th. Organizers say there are already 400 prospective students showing interest.
