Small Losses for Stocks; Gas Average Stalls
Published at | Updated at(NEW YORK) — Stocks fell Tuesday on a dim report from the Federal Reserve. The Dow fell 66 points, while the Nasdaq and the S&P both lost six points.
Grim news in the minutes from the Central Bank’s March meeting shows that policymakers are worried that hiring could slow down if economic growth doesn’t improve.
Meanwhile, gas prices seem to have stalled this week at about $3.92 per gallon. Enjoy it while it lasts, though. One national expert’s betting the average could reach $4.35 by the end of the month.
