(NEW YORK) — The Philadelphia Eagles are shopping Pro-Bowl cornerback Asante Samuel, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The nine-year veteran is due $9.9 million this season.
“Anytime your name comes up, of course you’re going to pay attention. I’m not going to dwell on it or whatever. I just know the Eagles main focus is to win a Super Bowl. I think I’m an important part of that, we’ll see how it goes,” said Samuel at the Eagles voluntary workouts Wednesday.
Samuel has 45 career interceptions and led the NFC in interceptions in two of the past three seasons.
